This print is of the Welcome To Fort William sign created by the Glasgow-based artist A Sign of Humour as a homage to the mighty Scottish midge. Fort William, at the northern end of the West Highland Way, is the gateway to the northwest highlands of Scotland, and area of outstanding natural beauty. It is also home to a vast number of midges. While barely visible, midges may descend on unsuspecting campers in great numbers and bite them mercilessly. Those who are unprepared with insect repellent and protective netting can  easily be driven to distraction by their persistent attacks.
